Wavumi Terms of Service

Agreeing to these terms

Wavumi is made by OPENIM CORPORATION LIMITED ("we"). By using Wavumi you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Questions: skiffer@openim.io.

Who can use Wavumi

You need to be at least 13, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms yourself; if you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian first. One account per person, and you're responsible for what happens on it. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

What you make

The apps, messages, photos and everything else you make or share in Wavumi are yours. So that Wavumi can work, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, run, display and send them to the people you share them with, and to adapt them only as needed to do that (for example, making previews or fitting them to different screens). This license ends when you delete them or your account, except for copies other people already have (see below) and what we have to keep for safety or by law.

Publishing to the plaza, and remixes

The plaza is public. When you publish an app there, you also let us show it, with its name, description, preview and your name, to anyone: in Wavumi, on share links, and where we feature plaza apps on our website and in the app.

You also give everyone on Wavumi a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to play your app, add a copy of it to their own spaces, change their copy with Wavumi (a remix), and publish their remix to the plaza under these same terms. Whoever makes a remix owns their changes; your parts stay yours. These licenses are for use in Wavumi only: they don't let anyone copy, sell or use your app anywhere else.

Taking your app down from the plaza (Unpublish) stops anyone new from adding it. Copies and remixes already in spaces stay, and so do their licenses.

Copyright and other people's rights

Only make, share or publish what you have the right to. Don't use other people's characters, logos, brands, artwork, photos, music, song lyrics, videos or games without their permission, and don't ask Wavumi to copy them. Wavumi's AI is told to make original apps, and an AI checks every app before it goes on the plaza, but neither is perfect: you're responsible for what you share and publish.

If you think something on Wavumi infringes your copyright or trademark, report it in the app (Report → Copyright or trademark), or write to skiffer@openim.io with: the work, where it is on Wavumi (the app's name or share link), how to reach you, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or act for whoever does, with your name as a signature. We take down what infringes and tell whoever posted it; they can write back if they think it was a mistake. We close the accounts of people who infringe again and again.

Apps Wavumi's AI makes

Wavumi's AI is told to write each app's code itself, as one self-contained file, without outside libraries, fonts, images, sounds or music, and apps can't load anything from the internet. What's in an app that Wavumi's AI wrote for you is yours, as above. Wavumi's design kit, the tools apps use and the rest of Wavumi are ours, and you may use them only in Wavumi. AI can produce something that resembles an existing work by chance, so look over what you publish.

Rules

There's no place on Wavumi for objectionable content or abusive people. Don't post, make or publish anything that:

Reporting and blocking

Press and hold a message, or use the ••• menu on an app or a person, to report it; you can block anyone the same way. We look at every report within 24 hours. We remove what breaks these rules and close the accounts that posted it, and may do so without warning.

Before an app goes on the plaza, an AI checks it against these rules, and an app that several people report comes off the plaza until we've looked at it.

AI

Wavumi uses AI to plan, make and change apps, and apps can use it to answer you. It only does so after you allow it (Me → AI). AI makes mistakes: check what it makes before relying on it, and don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. You're responsible for the apps you publish, even when AI wrote them.

Apps other people made

Apps in Wavumi are made by people with AI, not by us, and may not work as described. They run in a sandbox, can't reach the internet, and can only use your camera, microphone, location and the like after you allow it.

Credits and purchases

Making a new app, and remixing or changing one, with Wavumi uses credits. Me → Credits shows what each costs, your balance and your history. You start with free credits, can get more when someone new joins Wavumi through an invite link you shared, and can buy packs in the Wavumi app on the App Store or Google Play. Adding apps to a space and playing them are free.

If a new app or a change doesn't work out, its credits come back to you on their own.

Credits aren't money. They're only for use in Wavumi, have no cash value, and can't be exchanged for money, sold or moved to another account. Credits you buy don't expire. We may change what things cost in credits and which packs are on offer; that doesn't take away credits you already have.

Apple or Google takes the payment, under their own terms. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and for Google Play purchases by Google (see Support for how to ask). If a purchase is refunded or reversed, we may take back the credits it added.

We may take back credits got by breaking these terms or by abuse, such as accounts made to collect invite rewards. Credits left when you delete your account, or when we close it for breaking these terms, are lost and aren't refunded. None of this limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes, and ending

We may change or stop parts of Wavumi. You can stop using it and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top; using Wavumi after that means you accept them.

No guarantees

Wavumi is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. If you got Wavumi from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, Apple isn't responsible for Wavumi or its support, and Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
